Supported languages
Every language below covers the whole product, with every screen translated. Languages that are still being completed aren't listed and are added once they reach full coverage.

Choosing your language in the admin console
- Open your account menu in the top-right corner and choose Preferences to reach My Preferences.
- In the Language card, pick an entry from the Display Language list. You can type to search it by name or language code.
- The console switches immediately and the choice is saved to this browser. There is no need to reload or sign in again.
The setup wizard's first step opens with Choose your language, so the person deploying Atlas can work in their own language from the start.
Choosing a language in the User Portal
The first time an end user signs in to the User Portal, a Welcome to Atlas AVD dialog asks for their preferred language and timezone, preselected from their browser. They can change it later under Preferred language on the portal's Preferences page, or from the globe button in the portal header. Each user's choice is their own and doesn't affect other users or the admin console.
The globe button in the portal header and in the setup wizard also lists some languages that are still being completed; screens not yet translated in those languages appear in English.
How the default is picked
On a first visit, Atlas uses the browser's language when it's one of the supported languages, preferring an exact regional match (for example English (Canada) for a Canadian browser), and falls back to English (US) otherwise. Once someone chooses a language, it's remembered on that browser. On a different browser or device, Atlas starts from that browser's language until a language is chosen there too. Where several people share one browser profile, the last language chosen applies to whoever signs in next.
Formatting and right-to-left layout
- Dates, times and numbers are formatted for the selected language and region. Timestamps also follow each person's timezone setting in My Preferences.
- Hebrew, Arabic and Urdu switch the whole interface to a right-to-left layout, including navigation, tables and dialogs.
- The page's language is announced to screen readers and other assistive technology.
Audit and security log entries written by Atlas stay in English whichever language you choose, so SIEM queries, alert rules and exports behave the same for every admin.
